This complete renovation of a traditional Savoie barn, originally used as a cow barn and home of a local family, brings complexity through the creation of habitable floor space in an authentic stone voute.

The client’s brief is to create a family home that blends traditional finishes of wood and stone with modern facilities whilst respecting the heritage and environment of the chalet. The accommodation comprises 3 en-suite bedrooms at basement level, a double height living room with central fire, open plan kitchen and dining area and boot room off the entrance hall.
