This tired 1980’s chalet at the edge of Villarabout village had fantastic potential to develop something very special. The emphasis became an old wood and stone facade covering and creating large openings through wide glass windows so that the panorama could be fully enjoyed.

To meet the clients' requirements, the chalet was extended to include an additional bedroom and a generous entrance hall.  The existing space was re-organised to create a further four en-suite bedrooms. The first floor was partly demolished to create a double height, light-filled living area with an exposed wood roof and a mezzanine TV snug. To maximise the enjoyment of the views a large terrace now leads off from the living area.
